Horse sponsorship is a way to stay connected with an animal while helping with their ongoing care. At Hidden Camp in Glenwood, near Gympie, Queensland, you can sponsor Marvin or Kenny from $10 a month. You can join from anywhere in Australia; you do not need to live nearby or keep a horse yourself.

Meet Marvin and Kenny

Marvin, Hidden Camp's chestnut horse, standing in a bush paddock

Marvin is our grand old campsite inspector. Many past campers will remember him checking what everyone was doing. He came from a loving owner in Brisbane who no longer had the time and means to keep him. Here, he is a much-loved member of the family, with plenty of personality around a feed bucket.

Kenny is our friendly bay horse with a white blaze. He enjoys a scratch and knows when food is on the way. Like Marvin, he has his own place in the mob and his own stories to share with the people supporting him.

Choose a monthly horse sponsorship

Bronze is $10 a month and includes a sponsor certificate, an animal photo and monthly photo updates. Silver is $20 a month and adds regular photo and video updates, a birthday message from the animal and a gift certificate in the recipient's name. Gold is $35 a month and adds a feed visit when we reopen, limited farm tour invitations when approved and a Facebook thank-you.

Prices are in Australian dollars and are billed monthly. Sponsorship helps with the ongoing costs of caring for our animals. You choose the horse at checkout, or select Surprise Me, and can cancel at any time.

What does sponsoring a horse mean?

Your horse stays at Hidden Camp. Sponsorship does not transfer ownership, reserve a horse exclusively or include riding. Several supporters can sponsor the same animal. It is a practical way to help care for the mob and follow their lives through photos and farm updates.

Can I give horse sponsorship as a gift?

Yes. Add the recipient's name at checkout. The email address used for the purchase manages the account and recurring payments, and receives the certificate and updates to forward. If you want the recipient to have their own login, ask us before purchasing.

Can sponsors visit the horses?

Camping and general visits are currently closed, and we do not have a confirmed reopening date. Gold feed visits depend on reopening and an agreed arrangement. Please contact us before travelling. Horse riding is not part of sponsorship.

Hidden Camp is a family farm, not a registered charity. Sponsorship is not tax-deductible. Check the current plan details before subscribing.
